Project description

Linked to the IPY Biodiversity and Iceberg Scouring in the Western Ross Sea (BIS) project. Examines the ice scour impact with changes in biodiversity, benthic community structure and ecological functioning in Antarctica. It will also undertake swath mapping.

Gear description

Requires oceanographic ship, research vessel, diving equipment, ROV video and scuba diving facilities, splash camera, dredge, multibeam and sidescan sonar, and helicopter.
